Md. Habibur Rahman Former Managing Director of Al-Arafah Islami Bank Limited died on June 21, at 10.30 pm in Bangladesh Specialized Hospital (Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un). At the time of his death, he was 65 years old. He left his wife and two sons. He was suffering from cancer for a long time. After the namaz-e-janaza in Uttara, Baitul Mukarram National Mosque and Barisal, he will be buried in Barisal Muslim graveyard.

Al-Arafah Islami Bank and it’s subsidiary companies Board of Directors and all Executives and officers have expressed deep shock at the death of Md. Habibur Rahman. They conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.

Late Md. Habibur Rahman served as the Managing Director of Al-Arafah Islami Bank Limited from July 2013 to September 2018. Habibur Rahman started his banking career through joining Sonali Bank in 1978 as Probationary Officer. He joined Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited (IBBL) in 1983 as Senior Officer. In the long banking career, he has held important positions.
