21 June 2026, the 7th death anniversary of Md. Habibur Rahman, former Managing Director of Al-Arafah Islami Bank PLC, a highly respected banker in the financial sector of Bangladesh.

He passed away on 21 June 2019 at a hospital in Dhaka while undergoing treatment at the age of 65. On this solemn occasion, his family has requested everyone to pray for the eternal peace and forgiveness of his departed soul.

Md. Habibur Rahman served as the Managing Director of Al-Arafah Islami Bank PLC from July 2013 to September 2018. Prior to this, he held the position of Deputy Managing Director at Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC. He commenced his banking career in 1978 as a Probationary Officer at Sonali Bank and went on to serve the banking industry for over 41 years in various key leadership roles.

Born on 1 January 1954 in Barishal, he was widely recognized for his professionalism, dedication, and long-standing contribution to the banking sector of the country.
