The closing ceremony of the month-long Entrepreneur Development Training Program organized by Al-Arafah Islami Bank (AIB) under the SICIP project of the Ministry of Finance and the Special Program Department of Bangladesh Bank was held at the bank’s Training Institute. During this event, certificates were distributed among 25 trained small entrepreneurs and future business development plans were presented.
Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank Hosne Ara Shikha was present as the chief guest at the program. Additional Director of BB and SICIP Project Director Md. Nazrul Islam was present as the special guest. Managing Director and CEO of AIB Mohd. Rafat Ullah Khan presided over the program.
In his speech as the chief guest, Hosne Ara Shikha termed such training programs as very important in making the country’s SME sector stronger and more dynamic, and highlighted the role of such initiatives in skill development of entrepreneurs, financial inclusion, and sustainable business growth.
Highlighting the bank’s strong commitment to entrepreneurship development, Mohd. Rafat Ullah Khan said that enhancing the skills of grassroots entrepreneurs is very important for the sustainable economic development of the country. The bank is providing regular support through SME and investment activities to entrepreneurs.
Deputy Managing Director of the Bank S.M. Abu Jafar, Principal of the bank’s Training Institute (AIBTI) Md. Abdur Rahim Duary, Executive Vice President Md. Amzad Hossain and senior officials were present at the event.
25 new and interested entrepreneurs from Keraniganj and Dhaka South areas participated in the month-long training workshop. The training included important topics including business plan preparation, capital budgeting, accounting, working capital requirement assessment, feasibility study, marketing strategy, delivery channel, hands-on business analysis and successful business experience.
Al-Arafah Islami Bank will continue to contribute to entrepreneurship development and socio-economic progress of the country through such initiatives in the future.
