Al-Arafah Islami Bank held a day-long training course titled “Litigation Management for Speedy Recovery of Classified Investments” at the Bank’s Training Institute (AIBTI). Managing Director and CEO of the bank, Mohd. Rafat Ullah Khan, was present as the chief guest on Saturday, February 28, 2026.

Speaking as the chief guest, Mohd. Rafat Ullah Khan said that speedy recovery of defaulted and bad classified investments is essential to strengthen the financial base of the bank and protect the interests of depositors. During this, he laid special emphasis on proper follow-up of legal processes, taking timely steps and effective litigation management.

Joint District Judge of the Financial Debt Court, Dhaka, Md. Mosarraf Hossain was present as the resource person in the training program. During this, he presented in detail the effective application of the legal framework for the recovery of defaulted investments, the correct method of filing and handling cases, the importance of presenting evidence, compromise-resolution initiatives and practical experience in the enforcement of decrees.

The program was presided over by AIBTI Principal Md. Abdur Rahim Duary. The bank’s Senior Assistant Vice President S.M. Julkar Nayen and senior officials were present at the workshop. A total of 55 investment in-charges and investment officers from different branches of the bank participated in the training program as trainees.
