A day-long training workshop titled “Litigation Management” was held at the Bank’s Training Institute (AIBTI) for the speedy recovery of classified investments at Al-Arafah Islami Bank. On Saturday, June 13, 2026, the Managing Director and CEO of the Bank Mohd. Rafat Ullah Khan inaugurated the training workshop as the chief guest.
Managing Director and CEO Mohd. Rafat Ullah Khan said that speedy recovery of classified investments is very important to ensure financial stability, protect depositors’ funds and strengthen the overall good governance of the Bank. He emphasized on adopting the right legal strategies to recover defaulted investments, filing cases in a timely manner and effective monitoring and follow-up of cases. At the same time, he called on all the officers and employees of the bank to make a single and collective effort to make the ongoing 90-day ‘Classified Investment Recovery Campaign’ in the bank a success.
The workshop featured Md. Mosharraf Hossain, Judge of the Money Loan Court, Dhaka, and Joint District Judge, as the Resource Person. He shared practical insights and judicial perspectives on legal procedures, common litigation challenges, proper documentation, decree execution, and settlement mechanisms for effective investment recovery.
The program was presided over by Md. Abdur Rahim Duary, Principal of AIBTI and Senior Executive Vice President of the Bank. Among others Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer Sarafat Ullah, Senior Assistant Vice President SM Zulker Nayeen and Princial Officer Md. Shamim were present at the event. A total of 50 executives and officers from the Head Office and various branches of the Bank participated in the workshop.
The training is expected to significantly strengthen the Bank’s litigation management framework and contribute positively to the recovery of classified investments.
