Al-Arafah Islami Bank Limited has opened its 189th branch at Sitakunda, Chattogram, on Thursday, 24 June. Vice-Chairman of the Bank Alhajj Mohammad Abdus Salam inaugurated the new branch as Chief Guest. Director Md. Rafiqul Islam and Deputy Managing Director S M Jaffar of the Bank were present in the occasion as special guests.

Sitakunda Upazila Parishad Chairman SM Al Mamun, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Shahadat Hossain, Mayor Freedom Fighter Alhajj Badiul Alam, Associate Professor of Chattogram City College Tanbira Ahmed, Chairman of Mac Corporation Master Qasim were present on the occasion.

Chattogram Zonal Head and Senior Executive Vice President Mohammad Azam presided over the ceremony. A large number of local people and well-wishers were present in the inauguration ceremony. New branch manager Selim Jahangir thanked the audience.

Alhajj Mohammad Abdus Salam said in his speech, Al-Arafah Islami Bank Ltd. was established not for making a profit by doing business but for the welfare of society. He invited all to have the blessings of Islamic banking services in the new branch. He also said the Islamic banking system can boost up the economy of the country.

Deputy Managing Director S M Jaffar explained various statistics of the Bank and he ensured the best services for clients.
