Following the successful completion of the Core Banking System (CBS) upgrade at Al-Arafah Islami Bank, all banking services resumed on Sunday, 8 February 2026. The upgrade was carried out to enhance technological capabilities, establish a modern banking infrastructure, and ensure safer, faster, and uninterrupted banking services for customers.
In line with ongoing technology-driven transformations in the banking sector and with the aim of providing international-standard banking services, the CBS upgrade was undertaken. This initiative has significantly strengthened the Bank’s IT infrastructure and greatly enhanced its capacity to deliver future-ready digital banking services.
As per the approval of Bangladesh Bank, the CBS upgrade commenced on 30 January 2026 at Al-Arafah Islami Bank. Throughout the upgrade process, the Bank ensured the highest level of security for customers’ financial information while adhering to internationally recognized cybersecurity and data protection standards.
The modernization of the Core Banking System has made the Bank’s overall operations more efficient, transparent, secure, and customer-friendly. It has also improved transaction speed, enhanced service quality, strengthened risk management capabilities, and provided customers with a superior digital banking experience.
