The closing ceremony of three-month long special training course titled ‘1st Certified International Trade Professional (CITP) at Al-Arafah Islami Bank was held on Thursday, April 24 at Bank’s head office. Managing Director (CC) of the Bank Md. Rafat Ullah Khan was present as chief guest in the program.

Al-Arafah Islami Bank Training Institute (AIBTI) principal Abdur Rahim Duary presided over the program. Senior Vice President Touhid Siddique delivered welcome address. A total number of 61 executives and officers from various branches and head office of the Bank participated the training course organized by AIBTI, aimed at enhancing skills in international trade and foreign exchange operations.

In the speech of chief guest Md. Rafat Ullah Khan emphasized the strategic importance of Foreign Exchange and International Trade in strengthening Bangladesh’s economy. He also stated that Al-Arafah Islami Bank has set a benchmark in the banking sector by launching this advanced trade certification program which is better than conventional CDCS standards. This initiative will empower our professionals with cutting-edge skills in global trade, ensuring compliance, risk mitigation and enhanced competitiveness in international markets.

The AIB-CITP program is a testament to the bank’s commitment to capacity building and trade excellence, equipping bankers with in-depth knowledge of trade finance, LC operations, all ICC publications, both all local and international rules, regulations, customs and cross-border transactions. As Bangladesh continues to expand its global trade footprint. Such initiatives play a pivotal role in fostering a skilled workforce capable of navigating complex international trade dynamics.
